Into the Wild: Animal Science
Ages 8 to 11
Calling all animal enthusiasts! This course invites students to explore the science of animals through interest-based learning and hands-on discovery. From insects to elephants, learners will dive into topics such as animal anatomy, behavior, habitats, and the role of animals in agriculture and ecosystems. Designed with flexibility and independence in mind, the course emphasizes student-led projects, open-ended research, and real-world observation.
Whether your learner is passionate about wildlife, pets, or farm animals, they’ll have the chance to tailor their learning through projects that reflect their unique interests—like creating an animal care plan, building a model habitat, or investigating how animals communicate.

Course description:
Blast off into the cosmos with this hands-on, project-based astronomy course! Through engaging activities, creative projects, and skywatching opportunities, learners will explore the wonders of our universe—from planets and stars to galaxies and black holes. Students will develop their understanding of celestial motion, space technology, and the history of astronomy while applying critical thinking and creativity through independent or collaborative projects.
This course emphasizes curiosity and exploration, encouraging students to investigate the night sky, track lunar phases, create 3D models of the solar system, simulate space missions, and even design their own constellations or planet habitats.

Cooking Science: The tasty side of chemistry!
Get ready to mix, measure, and munch your way through the delicious world of food science! In this hands-on class designed for curious chefs ages 10 to 15, students will explore the “why” behind their favorite foods. From fluffy pancakes to fizzy drinks and stretchy cheese, we’ll uncover the scientific secrets behind everyday recipes. Along the way, kids will learn about chemical reactions, states of matter, emulsions, fermentation, and more—all while cooking and tasting their creations. Whether experimenting with natural food dyes or testing how temperature affects baking, this course blends science with snacks in the most flavorful way possible!
